What is the main activity of your company?
Peptomyc is a spin-off of the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology and ICREA that develops therapeutic mini-proteins for cancer treatment.

What have you carried out with GENESIS Biomed?
GENESIS Biomed has accompanied us at various stages of the development of our project and has helped us to update our business plan including market studies to identify the best oncological indications for our products.

What is the main activity of your company?
The Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center, a research centre of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, aims to contribute to the forefront of research into Alzheimer’s disease and other age-related neurodegenerative diseases. It also wants to be recognised for its unique influence on prevention, treatment and social awareness.

What have you carried out with GENESIS Biomed?
We have collaborated with GENESIS Biomed on many projects. On the one hand, in the creation of the first spin-off of the Foundation, the company Betascreen, S.L., for the detection of Alzheimer’s disease in the preclinical phase through machine learning algorithms that predict the abnormality of Alzheimer’s biomarkers from brain MRI scans. On the other hand, GENESIS Biomed assumes the functions of an external transfer office, as long as there is not enough volume to hire internal resources.

What has it been like working with us?
Excellent. GENESIS Biomed and in particular its CEO, Josep Lluís Falcó, has been with us since the beginning of the first transfer activity of the Barcelona Beta Brain Research Center. We met Josep Lluís as a teacher in the CaixaImpulse programme and, since then, we have trusted the GENESIS Biomed team to accompany us in the transformation and creation of the internal culture of innovation and transfer to the research centre.

What is the main activity of your company?
Qualud is a digital innovation company specialised in the healthcare sector. We conceptualise, design, develop and launch ehealth, mHealth and medical device products and services.

What have you carried out with GENESIS Biomed?
We have jointly developed the VININ project, a communication platform between researchers and patients to facilitate the recruitment of participants in clinical studies and communication. GENESIS Biomed worked on the business plan, while Qualud carried out the technological development.
