On friday, 20 March, GENESIS Biomed led the European PHEMS Business Hackathon in Barcelona, an inspiring one-day event focused on shaping the future of the Paediatric Health Data Space (PHDS). Held at Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub, the hackathon brought together more than 60 participants from across the ecosystem for a full day of plenary sessions, parallel working groups, final presentations and open discussion.

On March 18, the Innomed community visited the Banc de Sang i Teixits (BST) to gain first-hand insight into its scientific activity and explore new collaboration opportunities. These visits are part of the Innomed public-private collaboration programme, in which GENESIS Biomed is responsible for identifying the most suitable companies and organizing the sessions. On this occasion, Joan-Carles Fernàndez attended the event on behalf of GENESIS Biomed.

El pasado 25 de febrero se celebró el Pitch Day del Programa de Emprendimiento UAM Emprende 2025 para Investigadores de la Salud. Tras las diferentes sesiones de formación y el mentoring recibido a lo largo del programa, este culminó ayer con la presentación del pitch deck, en la que los participantes expusieron sus proyectos ante el jurado, demostrando el gran potencial innovador que existe en el entorno académico y científico. Fue una jornada muy inspiradora en la que pudimos conocer iniciativas con un alto impacto potencial en el ámbito de la salud y donde se llevaron a cabo varias menciones honoríficas: proyecto más innovador (LiKids Biopsy), proyecto más escalable (PriMERx) y mejor pitch deck (Vitheroma).
